Apple is gearing up to show off its new "homeOS" smart home operating system at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) happening next Monday. There’s a good chance this is happening since they recently filed a trademark for "homeOS," which points to its official reveal at the event.

The timing and details of this application suggest that "homeOS" could be making its entrance at Apple's biggest software event of the year, WWDC.
Besides that, Apple could also give us a look at its new smart home gadget, the "HomePad," along with the "homeOS." Even if they don’t show off the "HomePad," there might be other reasons for them to roll out "HomeOS."
Although Apple usually doesn’t launch a new operating system without some hardware to go with it, they might rebrand what they already have, like "tvOS" or the current "HomePod" software, and slap the new name "homeOS" on it. If they are planning to drop "homeOS" this year, then WWDC is definitely the perfect place to make that announcement.
