Change your PayPal account in Google Wallet before you remove it.

Hey there! If you’ve got your PayPal linked to your Google Wallet for shopping, it’s a good idea to switch up your payment method soon. Google is going to stop supporting PayPal integration, and starting June 13, all your PayPal accounts and transaction history will be removed from Google Wallet if you're in the U.S.

This means you'll need to find another way to pay since PayPal won’t be an option anymore. If you have any subscriptions or automatic payments set up with PayPal, you’ll need to visit the merchant’s site and update your payment info manually.

Having PayPal linked to your Google Wallet made it easier to manage everything, but now you’ll need to switch to another payment method. Google already stopped letting new PayPal connections since April 11, but you can still use any PayPal accounts you had linked before.

Just so you know, Google Wallet will still let you use debit cards with the PayPal logo, and folks in Germany can still fully use PayPal with Google Wallet.

How to Update Your Payment Method in Google Wallet

To keep using Google Wallet after PayPal’s gone, make sure to add at least one credit or debit card to your account. It’s pretty simple! Here’s how to do it:

Open the Google Wallet app and hit "Add to Wallet" at the bottom.

Choose "Payment Card" and then "New Credit or Debit Card." You can either type in your card info or snap a photo for quick entry.

After that, just click "Save and Continue," read the terms and conditions, and hit "Accept." You might need to verify your payment method through email, text, or your banking app to finish the process.

If you prefer, you can also add cards directly from your banking app or website if they support the "Add to GPay" feature. Easy peasy!
